My Kiehl’s Rewards program

Kiehl's Experts Spill On How To Earn Points and Get Rewarded

The My Kiehl’s Rewards program gives members access to unique discounts, early access to sales, and more. Learn more about our rewards program, ahead.

If you ask us, rewards programs are one of the best ways to get the most out of your shopping experience. That's why we've made it our priority to make the Kiehl's loyalty program—officially called My Kiehl’s Rewards—as, well, rewarding as possible. We also decided to give our program a little “treatment” with a new elevated look and feel, new tier names but with the same exclusive benefits that bring the rewards straight to you. The program grants our loyal customers exclusive offers and discounts, early access to sales, free birthday goodies, and more. Plus, it’s available to all Kiehl’s customers—casual shoppers and diehard fans alike. As Kiehl's Skin Pro Lauren Bair puts it, “It’s so incredible.”

To help explain our rewards program—and how to get the most out of it— we spoke with Bair, as well as fellow KCR Jonathan Vasquez. Here, our resident experts provide details on the Kiehl’s loyalty program, how it works, and how you can become a part of the Kiehl’s family. Read on for all the details.

What Is My Kiehl’s Rewards?

The premise of My Kiehl’s Rewards is straightforward. According to Bair, the program rewards customers with points for nearly “everything you do in-store [and online].” She adds, “whether you’re [stocking up on your favorite product, buying something new or getting a skin consultation,” you’ll be able to earn points. Those points can then be exchanged for a range of benefits, including skincare freebies and vouchers. There are three different tiers in the rewards program based on how many points you’ve accrued, and each tier boasts different benefits. What Can You Exchange Your Points For?

Once you’ve earned points, you can exchange them for freebies, Kiehl’s branded merchandise, or vouchers, Vasquez says—the choice is yours. If you choose to use your points on vouchers, you’ll earn a $10 off voucher for every 100 points you exchange. You can use up to five vouchers at once (for a total of $50 off), and Vasquez says that they even can be stacked with other in-store promotions and sales for more savings. If you’re unsure what to spend your points on, consult a Kiehl's Skin Pro—as Bair says, “we're always here to assist our customers.” Vasquez notes that in addition to helping you choose what products to get, Kiehl's Skin Pros can also show you how to redeem your points online, so you don’t need to shop in-store every time.

You can also exchange your points for travel or full-sized products from the My Kiehl’s Rewards catalog, as well as Kiehl’s “swag” (Bair says you might discover “some really cool apparel options”). Though neither of our experts could dish on exactly what will be available in the catalog as offerings may change, you can expect to find an array of Kiehl’s customer favorites.

How Should I Use My Kiehl’s $10 Reward?

Milk-Peel Gentle Exfoliating Toner

You can spend your Kiehl’s voucher (or vouchers) on whatever you want—there are no limitations. For his part, Vasquez says he’d likely put his rewards toward buying Milk-Peel Gentle Exfoliating Toner, which he calls a “gamechanger for me,” adding, “I always have two or three bottles on backstock because I just love it that much.” The unique toner, which contains lipo-hydroxy acid and 23% emollients, gently exfoliates the skin while replenishing moisture levels for a more hydrated, refined appearance. It’s clinically-demonstrated to smooth and soften the skin within just one week of use, and the non-irritating formula is suitable for all skin types (including sensitive skin).*

Micro-Dose Anti-Aging Retinol Serum with Ceramides and Peptide

As for Bair, she’s particularly fond of Micro-Dose Anti-Aging Retinol Serum with Ceramides and Peptide—“it’s something I use every day,” she says. The gentle serum, which contains a precise daily dose of pure retinol, helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles, visibly minimize pores, and firm the skin—all with minimal redness or discomfort. The unique formula also helps improve skin tone and texture, and it’s suitable for daily use, even for first-time retinol users.

Other favorites you can snag with your Kiehl’s membership points include classic formulas, such as Ultra Facial Cream with Squalane (our best-selling face cream worldwide) and the indulgent and luxurious Midnight Recovery Concentrate, which helps restore the skin while you sleep to reveal a more radiant appearance by morning. If you have oily skin, we recommend picking up Rare Earth Deep Pore Minimizing Cleansing Clay Mask—the award-winning formula helps visibly diminish enlarged pores while mattifying the skin to reveal a more refined appearance.

What Is the Kiehl’s Birthday Gift?

All Kiehl’s rewards members will be treated to a free Lip Balm #1 on their birthday, regardless of how many points they have. This moisturizing lip balm—a Kiehl’s favorite for more than 60 years—contains squalane (“really great for replenishing the skin’s natural moisture,” Bair notes) as well as vitamin E. According to Vasquez, the iconic lip balm “does a good job of hydrating long-term throughout the day.”

But that’s not where the gifting ends. Tier one members—also known as “Extra” tier members—will also receive a deluxe-sized skincare, body care, or haircare product. The next tier (named the “Super” tier) will be gifted two deluxe samples in addition to the lip balm, while the highest tier (“Everest”) will be rewarded with three deluxe samples, plus the lip balm. So basically, the more points you accrue, the bigger your birthday gift. As we said—we love to spoil our loyal customers.
