The Mission of Kiehl's states that we are "to improve in some way the quality of the community... making for better citizens, better firms, and better communities." To that end, we focus our efforts first and foremost on the betterment of our local communities by targeting our philanthropic endeavors on the needs and concerns of their citizens.

Through "Kiehl's Gives," we take a grassroots approach to help local teams focus on three key causes in their communities: the environment, children's well-being, and LGBTQ+ causes. To date, we have partnered with over 50 charities worldwide.

THE ENVIRONMENT

Kiehl’s has long held an impassioned commitment to respecting and raising awareness for our oceans, parks and outdoor spaces—from a recycling program that dates back to the 1970s to ongoing conservation and fundraising initiatives in service of local communities. Earth Day Network

Earth Day Network

Kiehl’s proudly supports the Earth Day Network to build the world’s largest environmental movement to drive transformative change for people and the planet. Charitable funds will directly benefit the Great Global Clean Up, in honor of Earth Day across major U.S. cities where volunteers will clean up green spaces, urban landscapes, and waterways. We’re committed to planting thousands of trees in communities where they’re needed most, through Earth Day Network’s tree restoration campaign.

CHILDREN'S WELL-BEING

We proudly include every member of the family in our formulation offerings: moms, dads, babies and even dogs. We celebrate families who live and work in our local communities, and to this day you can find their photographs on our Baby Wall—some dating back 40 years!
Our family values are the foundation for our commitment to supporting children’s charities. Our vision is to create safer, more sustainable environments for children through community relations and fundraising efforts.

Feeding America®

Feeding America®

Kiehl’s proudly supports Feeding America®. Each year, we invite customers around the world to give a gift that gives back. A percent of proceeds from exclusive holiday gift sets are used to provide meals to children facing hunger. Over the past 7 years, in partnership with Feeding America, we have helped provide more than 7 million meals to help the 1 in 7 children facing hunger in the United States.

LGBTQ + Pride

At Kiehl’s, we stand for Healthy Skin for All. We encourage inclusivity and celebrate diversity amongst our customers, community and employees. We believe in embracing who we are as individuals — regardless of gender, race, religion, or who we choose to love.
Kiehl’s proudly supports The Trevor Project on the fight to defend LGBTQ+ youth and save lives. We donate to various organizations, including The Ali Forney Center, Hetrick-Martin Institute, and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, to support housing, healthcare, and education services for New York’s LGBTQ+ young people.
