KIEHL'S OPEN DOORS

Since 1851, Kiehl’s has stood in proud support of the LGBTQIA2+ community.  We encourage inclusivity and celebrate diversity amongst our customers, community and employees. We believe in embracing who we are as individuals of every race, gender, religion, ability and disability, and who we love.

Through Kiehl's Open Doors, we are engaging our greater community and partnering with the Ali Forney Center to support homeless LGBTQIA2+ youth with safe and supportive housing and empowering them with resources to thrive in society.

Kiehl's Open Doors is a year-round commitment to supporting at risk LGBTQIA2+youth from the harms of homelessness. Yet, we recognize that physical spaces are not always enough. This Pride, we’re providing our community with something that's needed even more, and that’s safe emotional spaces. We invite you to take pen to paper to celebrate the safe spaces you've discovered or created for yourself and others, along your journey.

HELP US SUPPORT
LGBTQIA2+ HOMELESS YOUTH

We’re proud to partner with the Ali Forney Center, a 24-hour organization whose doors are always open.

Kiehl’s has committed to donating $150,000* to the Ali Forney Center in 2025. Our donation will help the Ali Forney Center provide safe, temporary housing as well as life-saving and developmental services to over 2,200 LGBTQIA2+ homeless youth.

*Kiehl's Since 1851 supports Ali Forney Center in their mission to protect homeless Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning youth from the harms of homelessness and empower them with the tools needed to be independent with a financial contribution of $150,000.00 in 2025. A LEGACY OF PRIDE

With East Village roots and a community spirit, we have a history of supporting the LGBTQIA2+
community – from donating to HIV/AIDS organizations to marching in the NYC Pride Parade
to the launch of Kiehl’s Open Doors.

Kiehl’s begins donating to HIV/AIDS organizations supporting the community in NYC under third generation family founder, Jami Morse.

In support of the Magic Johnson Foundation and their dedication to research and prevention of HIV/AIDS, we develop Magic Elixir Foaming Relaxing Bath.

Kiehl’s Hand Care for a Cure launches, with 100% of profits donated to AmFar.

In keeping with our East Village roots, Kiehl’s joins our neighborhood in the iconic New York City Pride March, a tradition we relive every year!

Our Kiehl’s Eucalyptus Liquid Body Cleanser hits shelves, with 100% of the profits benefitting YouthAIDS.

In proud support of World AIDS Day 2008, Kiehl’s introduces a Limited-Edition Lip Balm #1 and donates 100% of the proceeds to local HIV/AIDS charities.

Kiehl’s takes our commitment to the New York City Pride March further by becoming an official sponsor.

To celebrate 160 years of giving, Kiehl's launches Kiehl's Gives and partners with the pop band Scissor Sisters to raise donations for HIV/AIDS organizations.

In celebration of 15 years of marching in Pride, Kiehl’s hosts their first annual Pride Kickoff Party at our historic flagship store in the NYC’s East Village.

Kiehl’s partners with The Trevor Project, an organization committed to ending LGBTQIA2+ youth suicide, supporting their efforts during Pride month and throughout the year.

To celebrate Pride Month, Kiehl’s makes a special donation to The Trevor Project and releases a Limited-Edition Ultra Facial Cream.

Kiehl's Open Doors continues its partnership with the Ali Forney Center to support at-risk, homeless LGBTQIA2+ youth with safe housing and resources.
