A healthy skin routine has a few key components. At Kiehl’s, we recommend you cleanse, tone, moisturize and apply sunscreen daily. For acne, dark spots and discolorations, fine lines, and wrinkles and other concerns, apply targeted facial serums and treatments. Several times a week, treat your skin with a facial mask formulated to detoxify, hydrate or help firm skin.

After discovering your skin type and identifying your skin concerns, look for formulas suitable for you. At your Kiehl’s consultation, a Skincare Pro can recommend skincare products that effectively target your concerns and help you begin a healthy skin routine.

At Kiehl’s we recommend the following order for applying skincare products:

1. Face Cleanser
2. Toner
3. Eye Treatment
4. Facial Essence and/or Serum
5. Face Oil
6. Moisturizer
7. Sunscreen (during the day!)

If you are using a rinse-off face mask, apply after cleansing and follow with the rest of your skincare routine. If you are applying an overnight face mask, use it after or in place of your moisturizer according to the formula’s directions.
