In honor of Pride 2023, Kiehl’s is proud to announce our partnership with The Trevor Project for its June 2023 Pride Month celebration, Stories of Pride: The Power of Us. Kiehl’s believes in the power of building an affirming community, and that every LGBTQ+ young person deserves a space where they feel loved and like they belong. That’s why the brand is proud to continue its support — for the fourth year — with The Trevor Project, the leading suicide prevention organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ+) young people.
To celebrate Pride 2023, Kiehl’s and The Trevor Project are celebrating the stories of pride from LGBTQ+ young people and those who support them. Building on their 2022 campaign, The Trevor Project will continue to celebrate stories of strength, resilience, and connection.
Kiehl’s released a Limited Edition Pride Ultra Facial Cream and $1 of each purchase will be donated to The Trevor Project. Further, the brand has also committed to donating a guaranteed minimum of $150,000* in 2023 to The Trevor Project and customers can add to it by giving an additional $1, $5, or $10 with any purchase on kiehl’s.com.
Made with the same formulation as the original moisturizer, Kiehl’s Limited Edition Pride Ultra Facial Cream features a special-edition packaging that characterizes the vibrancy of a Pride parade. Featuring three diverse people from different cultural backgrounds, the figures shown are positioned in a celebratory way while showcasing a few different LGBTQ+ Pride flags. The artist behind the packaging is Josh McKenna, a queer British illustrator, and artist who is known for his tongue-in-cheek, bold, diverse, and all-inclusive artwork. The limited-edition facial cream is available now for $38 and can be purchased online and in-store at Kiehl’s.
For more than 20 years, Kiehl’s has honored the vibrancy, diversity, and artistry of the LGBTQ+ community through various philanthropic campaigns and Pride march participation. Kiehl’s has a long history of allyship with the LGBTQ+ community, from releasing limited edition product formulas in the ‘90s to raise funds for HIV/Aids, to becoming an official sponsor of the New York City Pride parade in 2010. In the early 2000s, Kiehl’s officially added LGBTQ+ young people as a pillar to their philanthropic endeavors, and has continued ever since. This led the brand to its multi-year partnership with The Trevor Project, kicking it off with a $100,000 donation in 2020.
