Key Ingredients
Squalane

Squalane

A signature Kiehl’s ingredient, Squalane is a highly-refined botanical lipid derived from olives. With an exceptional affinity to skin, Squalane absorbs easily and is known to help replenish skin’s barrier keeping it soft, supple and moisturized.

Aloe

Aloe Vera

Widely used for centuries in traditional and herbal medicine, Aloe is known to hydrate and soothe skin. Our Aloe is sourced from the leaf of the Aloe Vera plant.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E

Naturally occurring in plant leaves and skin, Vitamin E is known to help neutralize skin-damaging free radicals. In addition to antioxidant protection, Vitamin E is often used in moisturizing skincare products.

Wheat Germ Oil

Wheat Germ Oil

Wheat Germ Oil, extracted from the germ of the wheat kernel, is an emollient with antioxidant properties due to its high, natural Vitamin E content. It also contains Lecithin and a high percentage of essential fatty acids that are vital for healthy skin. It is also used as a natural preservative.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Won’t purchase again This product comes out like a lip gloss. It does not feel like my lips get any moisture from it, and the application is awful. It maybe lasts 15min. If you prefer the glossy look vs moisture like a lip balm-this product is for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love I have not tried this formula in the discounted jar so I can’t compare the two as other recent reviewers have. I love the tube formula. My lips get very dry because I have to speak all day and they get a bad reaction to balms with Shea butter (like the butter mask) and even bee’s wax where they get even more dry and peel, so it was nice to find this formula with the main ingredients being petroleum and lanolin. When I’m not using this product, I used modified lanolin (only ingredient) and the result for me is that my lips with any lanolin product in it gives my lips a healthy look and prevents chapping . If you like lanolin and/or petroleum on your lips then you’ll like this. I get it for its size. Other lanolin tubes (with one ingredient) are too large to carry around yet those large tubes are the same price as this small Kiel’s tube so I basically buy this for it’s small, carry around size.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lip Balm While I do love this lip balm, the applicator is awful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Subpar lip balm that doesn’t last inside broken packaging I’ve liked every Kiehl’s product I’ve tried except this. Avoid this product. It has the consistency of thick oil, but it is in a small tube with a hole entirely too big. Because of this, every time I open the cap, a large amount has already filled the cap, and the product just pours out of the hole. It really does seem like they punched the wrong size hole. The product itself isn’t very good, nevermind that I waste more than twice what I use every application. It keeps my lips moist for maybe 20 minutes max.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Where is my Jar? So disappointed I can only purchase in the tube. Prefer the jar at my bedside! Bummer. On the look out for a new jarred product. Tube will stay in my purse!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality and packaging My former boss introduced me to this lip balm as the best around. We would wear this in our office as it was so dry. I remember the pot and great texture of the product that felt nourishing on the lips and penetrating. I hadn’t purchased this for a long time as we used to buy this at Neiman Marcus. I received a tube for Christmas, and I definitely can tell the product has changed in texture, quality, and packaging. All 3 are not positive changes. The balm now feels topical, only, and very oily and way too emollient and could not be worn under lipstick. Terrible feel on the lips. I may use it for a cuticle moisturizer. Please consider what cutting costs does to the end consumer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back the jar! I am so disappointed that Kiehl's discontinued the jar. Why would you do that? It is one of your best products. Please bring it back. The tube is just not the same. I have been a product user for years and I couldn't believe it when the jar was discontinued.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Who is listening? Long time Kiehl’s product lover - but after suffering my own disappointment discovering the lip balm tub had been discontinued I had hoped it was just temporary. Perhaps a manufacturing problem with the tubs I hoped. But no - perhaps L’Oréal has decided the product line just isn’t strong enough to justify the alternative packaging. A shame - the reviews requesting a return of the tub are so numerous (and all responded to with a polite but milquetoast corporate reply) I wonder if they all fall on deaf ears. I won’t turn my back on Kiehl’s products yet - but my fear is another corporate buyout is homogenizing an otherwise standout product line. I certainly hope not.

Will you be bringing the jar back in the lip balm? Like others, I'm so upset that it's been discontinued!!! I have used this product for years, and I prefer the jar over the tube!!!
