Does sunscreen clog pores?
Our facial sunscreen with SPF 50+ is formulated to be non-comedogenic and will not clog pores.
What is the difference between Chemical and Mineral Sunscreen?
The main difference is how these types of sunscreens protect the skin from the sun’s damaging UV rays. Chemical sunscreens are formulas that use chemical filters to protect the skin from the sun’s damaging ultraviolet rays and are what most people mean when referring to sunscreen. Mineral sunscreens physically block ultraviolet radiation with ingredients like titanium dioxide or zinc oxide. As such, mineral sunscreen is sometimes called physical sunscreen or sunblock. Mineral sunscreen is a great option for those with acne-prone or sensitive skin.
How often should I apply my facial sunscreen?
Sunscreen tends to breakdown on skin 2 hours after application. It’s recommended to reapply your sunscreen every 2 hours, even in overcast or cloudy conditions. Sunscreen should always be reapplied after sweating or swimming.
How much sunscreen should I use?
You should aim to apply ¼ teaspoon to your entire face. A good approximate measurement is to apply a line of SPF to your pointer and middle finger, then press between your hands and apply to your face.
Is SPF 50+ suitable for everyday use?
SPF 50 is absolutely safe, and recommended, for everyday use. This will help to prevent incremental UV damage – both aging and burning.
Should I moisturize before or after my sunscreen?
Sunscreen should be your last step in skincare product application and before makeup application. It is highly advised to apply sunscreen even if your foundation contains an SPF. Should you wear foundation and like to reapply sunscreen, one of the best methods is to use a damp makeup sponge and lightly pat the sunscreen on top of your foundation.
