Fast Release Wrinkle-Reducing 0.3% Retinol Night Serum

Retinol boosts the desquamation cycle, which means that it helps promote the turnover of dead surface skin cells. This process helps to even tone and texture while also helping to address the look of dark spots and hyperpigmentation. Additionally, continued use of retinol helps enhance collagen, supporting a firmer, plumper, more youthful look by reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Using a retinol night serum can make skin become more sensitive to UV exposure and potential damage. Additionally, the efficacy of certain forms of retinol can be reduced when exposed to UV light. Therefore we recommend using this product at night and our face-body-sunscreen during the day.

For standard use, this retinol night serum should be applied prior to your moisturizer. If you find you are particularly prone to skin sensitivity and redness, dryness, or peeling when using this serum, apply it after your moisturizer. This creates a small buffer between your skin and the retinol night serum.

Yes, absolutely! However please note that unlike Micro-Dose Anti-Aging Retinol Serum, this product is NOT to be used in the orbital area. The 0.3% Pure Retinol in Fast Release is too powerful for the thin skin around the eye. Therefore, we recommend using only your favorite eye cream at night around the orbital area.

You will see signs of turnover of dead surface skin cells. If you are less sensitive to retinol, or have already built up a tolerance, you may notice a more enhanced brightness to the skin. The dead surface skin cells have been sloughed off, allowing plumper, smoother skin to show. You may notice some dryness or redness to the skin in the days following use, which can be known as “skin purging”. If this happens, lower usage of the retinol night serum to every other night and gradually work up to nightly.

Standard use is nightly; however, some skin may not have this tolerance. If you experience signs of irritation from the product, such as dryness, sensitivity, or peeling, start off with using every other night until a tolerance is built up and then begin using nightly.

Retinol should be applied to skin after cleansing and toning and prior to moisturizers, night creams, eye creams, and treatment oils. Avoid using additional active ingredients at the same time as retinol to avoid skin sensitization. You should always use a daily SPF such as our facial sunscreen with SPF 50+ to help protect the skin from UV exposure. If dryness, sensitivity, or peeling occurs, use a skin moisture barrier replenishing product like Ultra Facial Overnight Rehydrating Mask either all over or simply as a targeted spot treatment.
