Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makeup Melter! I happened to come upon a Kiel's store after the salon brand store where I usually buy my facial cleanser was closed. I thought I'd give it a shot since I was out of face cleanser, and I'm so glad I did! I asked the staff for cleanser that 1) will not lead my skin feeling "tight" after cleaning, and 2) will take off all of my makeup. I was super skeptical, but when I tried it that night before bed, and my makeup was completely gone and face was clean but not tight, I was sold. It's really amazing and so much cheaper than the salon brand I was buying before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great makeup remover & no oily residue I had been using my own mix of grapeseed and castor oil as an oil cleanser for a few months, but I hated the thickness of it and wanted to try something professionally made. I stumbled into a Kiehl's store at the mall one day and asked them if they had anything like an oil cleanser that could remove waterproof makeup and here I am! I wear a full face of makeup and use waterproof mascara, so I was looking for a one-step routine that would remove everything easily. At the store, they told me to put this cleanser on a cotton pad and use the pad to remove waterproof mascara but it actually works BETTER (and with less product waste) if you just gently massage the oil over your eyes/eyelashes to remove any tough eye makeup and then rinse the area thoroughly. The milky consistency that the oil has once you add a little warm water is a nice touch too. My face comes away feeling soft and smooth every time. I haven't had any breakouts since using this product either which is unusual and great. I love this stuff. It has a nice, relaxing smell for a nighttime wash. I only use it once a day at night right before bed. I do not pair this oil cleanser with any other things except occasionally a facial moisturizer if my face is feeling a little dry afterwards. In the mornings I use no cleanser, just splash water on my face and go!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can’t praise it enough Cleans all makeup, including mascara, without drying out my skin. It feels super calming on my sensitive skin and smells gorgeous. And a bonus is it doesn’t hurt if you get it in your eye!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent 1st Step For Flawless Skin I have been searching for a product like this for a while and I am very pleased with, not only the results, but also the experience of using it. After washing my hands and drying them thoroughly, I use 4 pumps and massage onto my face and neck area with quick sweeping, upward circular motions. The essential oils along with the squalene, emulsify and bond with all your naturally produced oil and dirt from a typical day of run, run, run. I instantly feel more relaxed and calm upon smelling the lavender and those daily stressors seem a bit more manageable. Anyway, after massaging the oils in and out of your pores add a few drops of warm water and massage a bit more as it becomes milky is appearance. Rinse well with warm water and you are ready for step 2. I understand that many people have no interest in a skin care regiment that exceeds beyond one step, but TRUST ME you will be rewarded for your time. Following the route I outlined above, grab any type foaming face wash. When I say foaming, it does not mean it has to come from a pump or say foaming on the package. Any soap that bubbles up with water is the key. I alternate between the Calendula face wash and a few other favorites of mine. I HIGHLY recommend the product contains citrus extracts, glycoloc acid or any other brightening ingredient. This time, add a bit more water than with the oil cleanser and repeat the same manner of application. I often use a rotating facial brush, silicone pulsing thingamajig or a washcloth depending on that days need. Rinse well with warm water and move on from there. I PROMISE you will enjoy the experience and LOVE the results even more. Your face will feel the cleanest you have felt and you are guaranteed to glow. It’s all about using the oil first to grab all the nasty and then using a water based cleanser to wash it all away. It’s basic chemistry and it woks! Now if you’re ready to move onto steps 3 and so on, it gets even better!!!! Enjoy your beautiful and radiating skin!! You deserve it!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great! I massage my face in circles to remove makeup with this oil and I can feel some "particles/debris" are being cleaned out of the pores. It smells good and doesn't dry out while I'm massaging. I use oil-based makeup remover on a daily basis and I always wash my face with cleanser afterwards anyways so it's not a problem to me. However, this is a bit oily compared to other similar products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So gentle and so effective I love this cleanser! I have very dry and sensitive skin which lacks natural oils. Therefore, it was suggested to me in Kielhs shop to try this out. With the cleansers I have used in the past my skin has felt tight afterwards, which I believed to be a good sign. However, I learnt in the shop that if you don't feel anything, it's a good sign. With this cleanser, I do not feel anything but fresh and smooth. I also like that it takes a small amount of water to remove because even water makes my skin tight. I use it first thing in the morning and at the beginning of my routine in the evening. While I do still have some spots, they have improved since starting to use the cleanser in May (4 months ago). It feels lovely to put on and is very calming before bed. I cannot see myself moving away from this cleanser and would recocomend it for people have skin types like mine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Miracle Worker This is the best make up remover I've ever used. It's so easy to apply and just takes a simple massage into your face to remove all make up including hard wearing mascara! Once wet and rinsed off your skin feels so soft and clean. Not tight or irritable which I often find with cleansers. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

How well does this remove eye makeup?

Asked by: asdfghjkll
It removes eye makeup very well. I wear lots of high-quality, thick mascara and I'm able to wipe it off both eyes with a cotton ball and a couple of pumps of this cleansing oil.

Do I need to wash my face with another cleanser afterwards?

Asked by: Chremotic

Is it okay to clean your face with a toner after washing with this product?

I usually wipe my face with a toner after cleansing, but should you tone after washing with this product? It feels almost like I'm wiping off the moisture that the cleanser leaves behind on my face. Is that counterproductive to what this product is trying to accomplish?

Can this be used on acne prone oily skin?

Asked by: Anonymous
It might be worth a try. I have used this product in the past, but I don’t have acne prone skin. My son does, however, and he has used a different brand of cleansing oil for a year or so now and it works well for him. He still has some acne, but definitely less than before. Neither of us have particularly oily skin, but I don’t think this will make yours oilier. You may even find it less oilier over time. If you use a cleanser that makes your face feel squeaky clean, it might take you a few uses to get used to this one.
