Best Answer: Try Proactiv for a few months first. In most cases, I've found reducing acne to be simply a matter of a proper cleansing routine that includes a good cleanser, toner AND acne lotion. The combination Proactiv offers is more affordable than Kiehl's, as each of these products needs to be purchased individually. When purchased separately, the products do not effectively treat acne.
However, I did find that once I got my acne under control and needed a more refined product just to treat the oily areas of my skin, the Rare Earth collection did the job very nicely. The Rare Earth Daily Cleanser works great on the oily areas, but tends to dry out the non-oily areas, so I'd recommend using it less frequently once the oily areas once they are less of a problem.
