- ABOUT US
Your closest, most comfortable shave is all about choosing the right formulas to meet your specific shaving style and skin type. Ours not only provide a smooth ride for razors, they also respect and treat your skin. Whether you prefer cream or lotion, Kiehl´s solutions are made with energizing and efficacious ingredients to provide an incomparably close shave for a smoother, healthier-looking finish.
Our most popular men’s shaving cream, "White Eagle" Ultimate Brushless Shave Cream is made with cooling Menthol and Camphor for a refreshingly close shave. Our brushless formula provides a creamy lather cushion to help minimize razor bumps and maximize shaving comfort.
Is your skin prone to razor burn, bumps, or irritation after shaving? If so, you likely have sensitive skin, and we have the right formula for you. Our "Blue Eagle" Ultimate Brushless Shave Cream is infused with Soothing Aloe to comfort sensitive skin as you shave - for a magnificently smooth finish.
With Lite-Flight Shave Cream, the old-school tradition of utilizing a shaving brush makes a comeback. Specially formulated for shaving with a brush, it helps the brush lift facial hair and gently exfoliate to help prevent in-grown hairs. This provides just the right conditions for an impeccably close shave.
Our formula has Menthol and Camphor, which leave a refreshing sensation on your face. This makes for a uniquely invigorating shave experience - that leaves skin feeling sleek, hydrated and soft.
If you get creative with your facial hair styles - maybe you’ve tried muttonchops, handlebars or goatees - try Smooth Glider Precision Shave Lotion.
We formulated our no-lather shaving lotion to let you see what you’re shaving for a smooth, precise finish. With Eucalpytus Essential Oil and Kukui Nut Oil, it softens hair and protects skin to prevent nicks and cuts. Plus, it smells fresh - like the woods.
With all Kiehl’s shaving creams, apply on moist - not wet - skin. We recommend shaving after a warm bath or shower.
Our shaving creams are rich - a little goes a long way. When you’re ready, be sure to apply a nearly translucent layer. You should be able to almost see through the cream to the hair.
And remember: always apply shaving cream in upward, circular motions. This ensures that your hair follicles are coated all the way down to the skin.
As you shave, save the tough stubbly patches for last. This allows the ingredients ample time to soften hair and soothe skin.
If you notice your razor is clogging - you’re using too much.
Using upward circular motions, apply a shave cream based on your shaving style or skin type - Ultimate Brushless Shave Cream is a men’s favorite - to soften facial hair and help defend your skin against nicks and cuts.
Shave with light, gentle strokes. Your razor should do the work, not you. Start shaving with the grain (in the direction of hair growth). Then if you have any stubble left, go against the grain for an even closer shave.
This prevents buildup on the blade edges or cartridge and will result in a smoother glide with more comfort.
To avoid post-shaving irritation, rinse skin with cool water and pat it dry. Then use a skin soothing formula, such as Post-Shave Repair Gel, to nourish and protect skin.
For most men, skincare isn’t usually the first subject that comes to mind, but did you know physiologically men’s skin is 30-40% thicker than woman’s skin? Plus, it has more oil-producing glands, larger pores, and is more exposed to UV radiation and pollution resulting in more rapid skin aging over time.
Kiehl’s founding family member, Mr. Aaron Morse, was a U.S. Air Corps pilot. As an avid aviator, he owned three stunt planes (F-14, F-18 and A-10) and in the late 1970s, displayed them in our New York City store next to Kiehl’s products! Mr. Morse named his collection of stunt planes the "Kiehl’s Squadron" - comprised of "Blue Eagle," "Green Eagle," and "White Eagle." Today, the spirit of the Kiehl’s Squadron lives on in the names of our renowned shave creams and was also the inspiration behind our Lite Flite Shave Cream for the brush - all of which were formulated for an incomparably close shave.
