Musk Essence Oil with Roller Ball Applicator is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 113.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing I bought the oil based perfume to go with the shower gel and body lotion, for an oil based perfume it is surprisingly weak and does not seem to last. The roller ball applicator does not allow much out either. When I bought it the spray which is more popular was out of stock. I wonder whether you get more of a back note hit with that one? I read some reviews from people who had used the kiehl's on musk before who said they thought the formula has been changed and I think they must be right. The oshower gel and body lotion are still good though.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love the scent but... I love the scent of Kieh’s Musk No. 1 but the rollerball I purchased smells like nothing. There is no scent - just the oil. It was tough to even get the oil started out of the vial through the ball and once I did, the smell is BARELY there. This Is VERY light (if any after a minute) at all. It’s not worth the next to zero scent payoff.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Musk is probably Great, But I WANT POUR HOMME As the title says. I love the Pour Homme Body wash and would appreciate if they brought back the essence oil. I do not like having to wear multiple scents. A deodorant would be awesome as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bring it Back My girlfriend has layered your Musk products for over 20 years. Almost every day someone stops her to ask what she’s wearing? It’s breaking her heart & just making me mad you’ve disconnected all but 1 of the products. Especially since you didn’t have the curtesy to inform your frequent customers this was going to happen. Please reconsider. Raise the price if you have to! Keep your clients happy! SoSad

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Musk Oil EVER!!! I've been a loyal Kiehl's customer, especially the perfume oils (Musk, Vanilla, & Corriander are my faves-) for over 20 years, since my first visit to the original apothecary in NYC. My sister, a NY resident & Kiehl's fan, introduced me.... I was heartbroken when all fragrance oils but the musk were discontinued, but was grateful as the musk truly is my all time favorite. However, when IT became harder and harder to find......I got MAD! KIEHL'S MUSK OIL (not the diluted, adulterated spray) is the best musk oil I've ever found. As a hobby, I have studied & collected perfumes & perfume oils since childhood. Musk was an instant favorite for me at 7 years of age! (I'm now 44.) Anyway, I've worn many, many musk oils.....the Body Shop white musk blend, countless Egyptian, African, Wild musk oil blends, from many different brands & perfume houses......and by a landslide, Kiehl's musk oil has worked with my chemistry through decades of aging and change, and ALWAYS attracts conpliments from men and women, every single time I wear it. All my friends, family members, and my boyfriend of 10 years.......love it one me, and most of them took up wearing it, after smelling it on me. It has a clean, sweet, natural aroma that is seriously irresistible and incredibly sexy on just about any skin type/age/body chemistry! I know the story is that it was discovered in a vat labeled "Love Oil".......but surely if the vat is finally empty, with all the modern technology available, there MUST be a way to replicate "Love Oil," to keep it in production. I'm sure that most fans of it, myself included, would pay double just to have it available again. Please, please, PLEASE!!!! Bring this back....and NOT just the rollerball bottles. Please bring back the regular bottles. There is no way Kiehl's will do anything but see a staggering increase in profits if Musk Oil is brought back completely! Not to mention the guaranteed market of new fans just waiting to fall in love with this unique, unforgettable fragrance! (I can't imagine anything but success in bringing back other exceptional scents too, like Vanilla, Corriander, Grapefruit, Neroli.....I remember the bar of about 100 dropper bottles at the apothecary in NYC......and all the fabulous scents!) Kiehl's Musk Oil is The Best Musk scent out there; it is part of so many positive experiences, memories, and associations for SO many people; it produces such intense emotional sensations in all who experience it; and it is a timeless, classic, unisex fragrance that would continue to be a favorite of endless future generations, given the chance. This musk is my signature scent, and has come to define and represent me. I have only the dregs of a rollerbottle remaining before I will have squeezed every last drop from the 20+ (now empty) bottles onto which I still hold! It is seriously a CRIME not to bring this oil back into production, and to deny existing loyal fans, as well as would-be (SHOULD-be!) new fans this simple, yet intensely powerful, memorable, intoxicating, and joyful life pleasure! Please! Give us back our beloved Musk Oil! Life smells so much better when scented with Kiehl's Musk Oil!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why is this product no longer available????? It is your best product/signature scent! I have been a Kiehls customer for more than 22 years solely because of the Musk Scent products. Why is it no longer available???

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bring back vanilla PLEASE I wore it for so many years. Every day. I looked everywhere for it but gave up. Very sad it’s no longer available. Loved layering the oils. At least give me the recipe. Can’t you see we’re all sad and want our oils. Thanks.

Grapefruit?

I don't understand why all of the lovely and in-demand oil fragrances were discontinued. Does anyone have a suggestion for another brand that is similar to Kiehls grapefruit rollerball? It was unique and amazing! I can't find anything close.

You had a vanilla and cedarwood scent that was practically hypnotic. Any chance you'll be brining back the line in the future?

I have a dear friend who loves this oil blend. I work with essential oils and would like to re-create it for her holiday gift. Can you provide an ingredient list so I can try to make this for her?

I purchased Essence oil grapefruit a while ago from Saks Fifth Avenue do you carry this oil?

Is this musk fragrance similar to coty musk ?

Asked by: Anonymous
There is no musk quite like Kiehl's. But, as I am crushed by the discontinuation of this oil, I have been searching for a similar scent. To answer your question, YES, I do find that there is a similarity between Kiehl's Musk and Coty/Jovan Wild Musk. City Wild Musk (to me, anyway) is the closest thing I've found to my beloved Kiehl's. On my skin, the two smell similar. I find that white musks tend to be more powdery, but Coty/Jovan's WILD Musk has an animalic, heady quality, like that of Kiehl's that smells uncontrollably sexy! In fact, the body spray (cheapest version of Wild Musk, available at most pharmacies & -Marts) smells most similar. It runs around $6.99. and lasts all day. Even the cologne spray, which is around $9.99, doesn't smell as good or last as long. Give it a try:) (But please keep begging Kiehl's to bring back their perfume oils!)
