What It Is
With aromas of Bergamot Nectar, Orange Blossom and – of course – Musk, our signature scent is a soft, aromatic scent for both men and women. Believed to have been created in the 1920s, our iconic “Love Oil” was reintroduced to our customers in 1963. Kiehl’s Musk Eau de Toilette Spray is a modern take on our signature Musk fragrance.
What It’s Good For
- Soft fragrance begins with an initial creamy, fresh citrus burst of Bergamot Nectar and Orange Blossom
- Follows with a soft floral bouquet of Rose, Lily, Ylang-Ylang and Neroli
- Dries down to a warm, sensual finish of Tonka Nut, White Patchouli and Musk
- Inspired by a signature Kiehl’s fragrance, believed to have been originally created in the 1920s

Key Ingredients
GLACIAL GLYCOPROTEIN
Originally sourced from Antarctic sea glaciers, Glacial Glycoprotein within our formulas helps to deeply hydrate and maintain skin’s moisture balance.
SQUALANE
A signature Kiehl’s ingredient, Squalane is a highly-refined botanical lipid derived from olives. With an exceptional affinity to skin, Squalane absorbs easily and is known to help replenish skin’s barrier keeping it soft, supple and moisturized.
GLYCERYL STEARATE
Glyceryl Stearate is derived from vegetable or soy oil and is also found naturally in the human body. It acts as a lubricant on the skin’s surface, which gives the skin a soft and smooth appearance.

Not the same smell
I've been a fan of the Musk smell and have used body lotions and spray. I got my husband a bottle Musk Eau de Toilette Spray and he finished it a while back. So, I got him a new bottle and it arrived today. We tried it on and it didn't smell the same as our old bottle. It was very disappointing. This issue seems to be consistent with other reviews. Hope you can figure out the issue and bring the old formula back. Thanks.

Not the same fragrance!
This is not the same fragrance! I've worn the Musk sent for years now, and ran out last week. I went to the Kielhs store to get a new bottle. It smells awful, sweet and gross. I can't believe this made it to the shelves. The one thing a perfume should be is consistent! Thats why people buy it right?! Very very disappointing. The fact that no one at Kielhs picked up on the completely different smell is concerning. And to be sold a crappy fake product is just completely not cool. Please send me a REAL Musk replacement.

What has Change?
This has been my staple scent for years. However this bottle is different, I don't feel that familiarity and warmth. I have participated in Autoship for
years but canceled because of the change or possibly a bad batch. Please give me back my

Scent grows on you
Seeking a ‘’60s musk which reviews said had changed so decided to try this one. Got the spray & bath/shower versions. At first the spray was not something I liked but as it dried the scent became much better. Not over-powering but pleasant & lasts long ( but not strong enough to bother anyone close to you). Bath stuff is ok, lots of lather/bubbles but scent doesn’t last. I will use hem up but returning to another scent I like better fir cold weather.

Clean, sweet without being too sweet, sensual and warm. Always get compliments and feel very boho, earth hippie but in a sophisticated way!!

One of my favorites- I wear it everyday. But this last order smells so bad- smells like alcohol. I emailed customer service for an exchange, but never got a reply.

Sooooo NOT the original Musk scent
Just ordered a new bottle after 2 years and should have listened to previous reviewers . . . I don't know what Kiehl's did to the wonderful original scent of the Musk spray but it is NOT the same - more of an alcohol scent like at the doctor's office - ugh!!! I have an empty bottle from 2 years back that has more of the original scent than the new bottle I just purchased. Probably will use for room spray or some sort. A waste of my hard earned money. Very disappointing!!! Will never order this again.

Changed formula?
I agree with many other reviewers who say this isn't the same formula it's seemed to be in the past.
I loved this spray for a lot of years - and received many compliments on my "scent."
I was so excited to re-up on my favorite perfume, but after I sprayed it on my wrist, it just smelled like rubbing alcohol.
In fact, I can't detect a musk smell at all.
Sad. This is but a shadow of its former self.
If you're looking for Kiehl's Musk - this is no longer it.
Will now have to hunt down another musk I love as much as I used to love this one.
