Do you need to remove make-up & sunscreen lotion with a separate cleanser before using this?
A shopper on Aug 24, 2013
Best Answer: I don't knowi if you need to, but I do. But this cleanser is the best I've used so far. I've used Kihel's other cleansers, and all others in market (from store brands to expensive department store brands, including SK-II and LaMer), but this is far best...

Is this cleanser good for dry skin? thanks?
Jing M on Jun 20, 2013
Best Answer: I have combo skin that is fairly dry. I really love this cleanser. I originally bought the Ultra Face Cleanser, but was still having some breakout issues. Needless to say the Clearly Corrective helped my skin! If you have breakouts I highly recommend the Acne Blemish Control (note I do not have acne but breakouts and this works! I do morning and evening).

I've been using the Ultra Facial Cleanser for a couple years and it's doing good. However, this Clearly Corrective Cleanser sounds good to me. Should I give it a try?
A shopper on Jun 17, 2013
Best Answer: I have also been using the Ultra Facial Cleanser for years and I love it! A few months ago I decided to try the Clearly Corrective, and although I loved how my skin felt immediately after using it, I ended up sending it back a few weeks later. It doesn't dissolve makeup the way that the Ultra Facial Cleanser does, and over time I felt like it left a film on my skin. I had more frequent breakouts with this product, and lots of redness (I have very sensitive skin). I think it's worth trying, especially because of the Kiehl's Guarantee, but don't get rid of your Ultra Facial Cleanser just yet!

A shopper on May 18, 2013
Best Answer: I don't know what you mean by "safe", but I have used this cleanser with my Clarisonic and LOVE it!!! You only need a small drop and it foams really nicely.

Is this product suitable for oily skin?
A shopper on Dec 5, 2014
Best Answer: I bought this a year or 2 ago and remember not liking it for my skin type as mine tends to get oily, never dry. From what i recall it had a creamy, moisturizing effect and left my face feeling a bit like putting a light moisturizer on it after washing it off, which is not what i needed. I'd recommend the Ultra Facial Cleanser (which is a clear soapy gel rather than a white foamy cream) for oily skin that will not dry it out - it just leaves it clean and smooth. It's really good for breakouts too.

Would this product also work well with acne prone skin?
melissa6678 on Oct 2, 2014
Best Answer: Yes! It takes a few days, but it really cleans out the pores and makes my skim feel clean.

Do I use it over a damp face or a dry face?
A shopper on Jun 23, 2013
Best Answer: I don't know if there is a 'correct' way to wash my face with this cleanser. Here's I do it, though. I use a wet terry cloth face cloth with not much cleanser on it. Using circular motion to wash and massage face. Then I rinse with warm water, then cold.

Have gotten several comments, after using Kiehl's products, on how good my skin looks so I guess it's working.

Happy washing!

How is this?
A shopper on Nov 12, 2013
Best Answer: I don't see the purifying effect, and my acne scar did not get better after using this...but I still brought the second one because I got much less acne after using this together with clarisonic face brush. I can say it helps you to clear your make up dealt well.

Clearly Corrective™ Purifying Foaming Cleanser
Clearly Corrective™ Purifying Foaming Cleanser
Ultra Facial Cleanser
Ultra Facial Cleanser
Best Answer: The Ultra facial Cleanser is a great all around cleanser. I've been using the clearly corrective cleanser during the winter months, as my skin dries out with all the central heat in home/office and the clearly corrective is a bit heavier. My younger sister uses the ultra facial cleanser year round and loves it! Keeps skin clear and clean

I am an African American female and would like to know if this is safe to use on my skin? I'm of a darker complexion and don't want to lighten my skin, I would simply like to lighten my dark blemishes.
A shopper on Jun 14, 2013
Best Answer: I am Italian and have dark olive skin and I really like this, I only use it about twice a week, and I use the oil free cleaner the other times, but to answer your question, I think you will like it and you will not see any lighten, it brightens more than lightens, nice healthily clean glow. Hope this helps you.

Why does the back of the product state, "tested and developed for Asian skin?" Was this originally sold in parts of Asia?
Jennifer T on Apr 28, 2013
Best Answer: Yes, it sold in Asia. They have counter sales in Asia. Also, they gave samples to people to try it, experience it. My friends in Asia have been using this product for a while already. They love it so much. I used it since I got it this month, and it works great on me.
