Glycerin is a by-product of soap manufacturing and is a clear, syrupy liquid, usually derived from vegetable oil and obtained by adding alkalies to fats and fixed oils. It is a solvent humectant and emollient in many skin care products, as it absorbs moisture from the air and thereby helps products retain their moisture. Bonnie O: Yes I use it with mine every day! But just to warn you, if any of the cleanser migrates into my eye it stings very badly, which seems a little strange for a facial cleanser. The texture is very creamy though, perfect for use with the Clarinsonic. May 18, 2013
