Glycerin is a by-product of soap manufacturing and is a clear, syrupy liquid, usually derived from vegetable oil and obtained by adding alkalies to fats and fixed oils. It is a solvent humectant and emollient in many skin care products, as it absorbs moisture from the air and thereby helps products retain their moisture. It improves the spreadability of products and has definite skin moisturizing benefits.
Naturally occurring in plant leaves, cereal germ oils, and milk, Vitamin E is known to be an important antioxidant and free-radical scavenger that contains moisturizing properties.
White Birch Extract
A sugar derived ingredient known for its ability to restore hydration and nutrients to the dermis and epidermis layers of skin . This potent active increases skin elasticity levels and collagen production resulting in restored skin density, volume and thickness.
Rosa Arctica (Haberlea rhodopensis)
Known as a regeneration flower, it is able to survive up to 31 months in a dry-out cycle, by falling into anabiosis. When proper moisture conditions are restored, it returns to life within hours. On skin, it works to jolt cellular vitality, stimulating skin's own collagen and elastin production.
Apply evenly to clean face by gently pressing the fingertips on either side of the face, beginning with the cheek area, then moving up to the forehead, and finally pressing lightly into the chin area. Massage gently yet firmly into all areas of the face, using an upward circular motion, to help the penetration and activation of the formula.

I tend to have combination skin. Sometimes dry and other times oily. I originally purchased the regular Rosa Arctica which is better for those with drier skin. I ended up giving that one to my mother to use and decided to purchase the lightweight version of this cream. A little goes a long way. This lightweight version is nice to use winter and summer. It is not oily and absorbs into the skin leaving your skin feeling hydrated. If you find that it is too much maybe alternate every other day with another cream or use only in the morning or evening.

while it is much less oily than the original, it stills leaves your face somewhat shiny but because it is nicely absorbent it does dissipate somewhat, certainly more preferable to me than the original product.

I do not have acne. But the cream doesn't feel at all greasy - it has great daytime coverage for me. And several users reported a shine or glitter but I don't see that either. I like this a lot. And for what it is wortyh, it has never made me break out.

In my opinion you're never too young to start! I'm 56 and have taken very good care of my skin, especially my face, ever since I was a teenager. It has paid off as there is no question that I have far fewer wrinkles and discolorations than most women I know of the same age (and some that are much younger!) I have only recently started using this product and I can say that so far I am very impressed.

I am using it for prevention as I'm 25 and haven't seen major fine lines/wrinkles yet (and do not want to). One of the main ingredients is Vitamin E which is known for being an anti-oxidant. After using this product I've noticed a better texture to my skin, lesser appearance of pores, and a better glow. I love it!

I love the original but, the new lightweight version is perfect for me. I find this keeps my skin in great shape. I have very few lines and am in my forties. I think this is a great preventative used with the line reducing serum.

I do like the light weight cream over the other cream, which was heavier. Definitely these creams are great for younger skins, and I have to say being 71 years of age, you're just in a whole different skin care program.

Yes I have used it over midnight recovery. I had to add water to the Rosa Arctica cream to make it easier to apply , even warming it by rubbing it between two fingers was not enough.

I am 81 and have been using the product for a few months (before that I used the original for about 6 months). I find the texture and scent perfect and it seems a richer cream than abyssine. It goes a long way too. I put it over Midnigh Recovery. In the daytime I use the tinted moisturizer over the spot-reducing fluid and the rosa arctica eye cream(great products!). I do get compliments on my skin. Only product I haven't been pleased with is the Facial Fuel for Eyes (recommended by the representative though it's the men's line). I had an allergic reaction to it (burning, stinging). Was sad becase I liked the roll-on feature.

I am 70 and have very dry skin. I have found the rosa arctica cream a little richer than the abyssin cream. During the colder months I use the regular rosa arrctica and the lighter one during the warmer months. I would highly recommend the rosa arctica creams. Also the rosa arctica eye cream is very nice. Since everyone' s skin is different I would suggest trying samples of each to see which one works best for your skin.
