Andrew L: Most of the time this is sufficient for preventing razor bumps. In my opinion it is of low-medium strength potency. If my skin gets really irritated then I have to use something really strong like tend skin, but 90% of the time kiehl's does the trick without drying out my face like tend skin does.Feb 19, 2013

Adam B:I am a big fan of many Kiehl's products (facial fuel lotion, energizing face scrub, no-brush shave lotion, eye de-puffer, etc.); but, unfortunately, this is one product that did not live up to the billing in my experience.
This lotion does an ok job of soothing razor burn, but does not have the effect on razor bump relief that I have been able to get through other products like Bump Patrol (you can get it at any local drug store).
I don't shave my head, but had trouble with razor bumps on my neck for years until I found the magic formula for me: Twice a week I use the face scrub to soften my beard before shaving, then apply the Bump Patrol immediately after rinsing and, once dry, finish with the facial fuel lotion for moisture and SPF.Jul 20, 2012
Michael K:I get razor burn/bumps (not too bad, but definitely noticeable) after I shave. Also, around a day after shaving, I usually get some bothersome ingrown hairs on my neck too. This product doesn't completely eliminate everything, but does the best job of any product I've found. It has salicylic acid to smooth out the skin, and also helps with any acne problems in the applied area. It's not irritating at all, but can tingle a little at first after applying. Allan C:Kiehl's is great about returning things, however this is the best product I've used for razor bumps.
