Apricot Kernel Oil is extracted from apricot kernels and has a very high Vitamin E content (aiding fast absorption) and is a trygliceride composed of 75% oleic acid and 20% linoleic acid, and unsaturated fatty acids esterified with glycerin - similar to avocado oil and sesame oil. Found to be highly compatible with the skin. Apricot Kernel Oil moisturizes and softens skin while helping retain clarity and suppleness.

The oil is obtained by cold pressing of ripe olives and it is the first press, or “extra vierge” oil, that is used for creams, lotions, hair treatments and ointments. I was disappointed in this product - I should have read the ingredient list before I bought it, because it's filled with lots of different things; first ingredients listed: Dicaprylyl ether, dicaprylyl carbonate, apricot seed oil,...the list goes on and somewhere down the line is Argan oil. Go buy plain Argan oil if that's what you're looking for.

This oil is great for dry skin; it comes from Morracco and has many uses. I purchased this for my 8yr old son who has eczema and the oil has really helped. I love the smell and we use the shampoo and conditioner too. Well worth the money!

It holds moisture in without residue. Dry oil, unless applied to excess will not transfer to clothing. That means that after a shower you can use it to contain a bit od moisture and still wear a nice shirt without the danger of an oil stain.
