This potent, effective peel for overnight use stimulates the desquamation process - the biological means by which skin restores itself. Our treatment is formulated with naturally-derived ingredients to enhance formula efficacy while performing a safe and gentle peeling action. Urea, an enzyme activator naturally present in the surface layer of the epidermis, performs the vital function of dissolving and loosening the horny layer of skin, stimulating cell renewal and the exfoliation of dead surface skin cells. Blended with HEPES (Hydroxyethylpiperazine Ethane Sulfonic Acid) and a high concentration of Sodium Hyaluronate, known for its powerful hydrating properties, our peeling treatment helps to gently renew skin, leaving texture softer, more even, and vibrant after first use. With continued use, the formula helps reduce the look of pore size and ameliorate the effects of free-radical and photo-damage. Non-comedogenic, oil-free, and dermatologist tested for safety and efficacy. May be used by all skin types.
HEPES, or Hydroxyethylpiperazine Ethane Sulfonic Acid, is a chemical buffer which is widely used in cell culture to maintain physiological pH. This amino-sulfonic derivative helps to improve skin and limits roughness.
Sodium Hyaluronate is the sodium salt of Hyaluronic Acid. It is used as a moisturizing agent, viscosifier and emulsifier. It forms a transparent film on the skin which has a soothing and lubricating action. It is a powerful humectant as it is capable of binding 1,800 times its own weight in water. See also: Hyaluronic Acid.
An enzyme activator naturally present in the surface layer of the skin (epidermis), Urea accelerates the natural process of cell renewal through the exfoliation of dead surface skin cells. The ingredient has a water binding effect in the top layers of the skin thus acting as a natural moisturizing agent in human skin.
Cleanse skin thoroughly prior to application. Apply treatment at night, avoiding immediate eye area, and allow to dry on skin. Leave on overnight and remove with warm water in the morning. May be used three times per week, or more as needed.
Patricia F: Recently lost my esthetician and can't find another in my area. I was looking for something I could do myself and stumbled upon Kiehl's...I love it. Very gentle yet effective. Makes my skin feel so good for the next few days! I have recommended to many.Dec 10, 2012

Kimberly P: Wanted to try to clear up skin -Nov 30, 2012
Jessalyn E: I just placed an order last week, but with your offer of 3 deluxe samples I wanted to try something else. This one had such rave reviews, I thought I'd give it a try.Nov 23, 2012
Lindsay C: I am so excited to try this product. I have acne-prone, dry skin.Sep 24, 2012
Angela L: After using sample, liked it how soft it makes my skinSep 24, 2012
Lelaine P: Wake up with softer skin. Gives me a "vacation glow".Sep 24, 2012
Theresa S: I have been looking for an easy peel and based on the customer reviews I am excited to try this.Sep 23, 2012
Emma S: I have acne scars and large pores. I want to give a try for improving how they look. I tried Kiehl's face wash before and it has been my absolutely favorite. You have to know I have tried all kinds of 1st line products. Only Kiehl's makes me smile after I use it.Sep 22, 2012
Lisa K: wanted to try since I've been using the Vitamin C concentrate and the Midnight recovery concentrate...Sep 22, 2012
Teresa B: Have been looking for exfoliate for my face which doesn't aggravate my rosacea and this seemed like a good matchSep 22, 2012
Raquel S: I've been using the Overnight Biological Peel for years and it makes such a difference in my skin. I sometimes get lazy and neglect my skin and start to see a difference. After using the peel 2-3 times in just one week my skin is back to normal and looking great again. I also have super sensitive skin and have never had issues with this product. It's a must have in my medicine cabinet.Sep 21, 2012
Derrick J: It's awesome! Does a great job overnight and you wake up with a glow.Sep 18, 2012
JOYCE M: Have found Kiehl's products to live up to way they say they will do and want to see how this one works for me.Sep 18, 2012
Willie R: This is the absolute best product I have ever used for my skin. Seriously. Results are visible the next morning. My skin is brighter, more evenly toned, pores are smaller, and I just have an overall glow after using this product. I suffer from occasional breakouts and mild rosacea, and this is a miracle worker! It takes the redness away and soothes those problem areas!Sep 18, 2012
Mireille A: Sounds simple and easy to use with great effects based on the reviews. Looking at the product information and ingredients they are fit with my requirements for sensitive skin and environmental concern.May 2, 2012
Erin H:In order to maximize effectiveness of this product and decrease the risk of a sensitivity reaction, I would not suggest using this at the same time as other targeted solutions, like the dark spot corrector and midnight recovery. It is a better idea to use these alternately.Apr 20, 2012
Sarah G:No mouisturizer. As it's a peel I want it to do it's work. So I cleanse and put it on then sleep. When I wake up I just rinse it off and moisturize then. I use it about every other night and use my moisturizer on the other nights. Jan 17, 2013
GERTRUDE W. R:I would suggest using the peel alone (at night). Once you can gauge how much exfoliation occurs, then apply the moisturizer. My opinion is to use the peel at night and the moisturizer during the day. Upon obtaining the peel desired, only use the moisturizer (day and night).Mar 4, 2013
GERTRUDE W. R:I would suggest using the peel first and solo for a few days. Once you see how much exfoliation occurs, apply your serum every 2 days. You want your skin to fully exfoliate (peel) and follow-up with the serum on a clear facial palette - the serum will be more effective.Mar 4, 2013
Valorie H:Not exactly. It doesn't harden, and it's not something you have to peel off. In fact I leave it on and don't wash it off. I love this product. It makes my skin firm, gets rid of uneven color and brown spots, and gives my complexion a glow. I am 63 years old and I know by now there is no miracle in a bottle :-) but this product does make my skin look great. And it doesn't have harmful chemicals in it. I use it pretty much everyday. I think you will like it and I hope it works for you. xo xoMay 9, 2012

Keri L:No. It works more like a night cream. I put it on after my cleansing routine each night and since the weather is warm now I don't feel that I need to put on additional night cream. Although, I have normal/combo skin, so for people with dry skin, night cream is probably still needed. I do avoid the eye area when using this and still put on eye cream. May 9, 2012
Jiajun Z:No. It is a chemical peel that you put on your skin and then leave it on of the whole night. Next morning, you can wash it off. It is very gentle so you would not see result right the way.May 9, 2012
Mimi N:I don't have a frequency recommendation, except to follow the directions on the label and to pay attention to how your skin responds; I use this peel about once a week because I often use glycolic acid products at night, which are pretty strong.
No, your face should not peel or be flaky in the morning. When I wash the product off, my skin feels smooth and supple.Jul 14, 2012
Luz G:I've never experienced flaking or peeling. That's probably a sign to use it less frequently? Or maybe even not at all, if it's irritating your skin. I've found this product to be gentle enough *for me* to use 3 times a week. I have very oily skin.Jul 14, 2012
Youran K:I personally have used this product every other night and I have not had any issue with my skin being too try or flaky in the morning. However, I did not see any noticeable improvement.Jul 16, 2012
Erin H:I would not use any "peel" (neither biological nor chemical) product on the under-eye area. The skin under the eye is much thinner and therefore more fragile and sensitive. If you're looking for a good under-eye anti-ageing product, you might try Line-Reducing Eye Brightening Concentrate or Midnight Recovery Eye.Jun 6, 2012
Jamy K:Not the form of ethyl any other significant amounts. If you are concerned about drying still continue to use your moisturizer after the treatment has had a chance to absorb. Remember to use sunscreen, you will become sensitive and do not use a facial scrub or AHA treatment within the next few days.May 2, 2013
Jamy K:Do not combine! Retin A is a prescribed topical medicine. It also works by sloughing off layers of the skin however at a much higher rate. Combining the 2 or even switching back and forth may cause inflammation along with frustration. I understand the desire to exfoliate, you may want to use a mild facial cleanser in the mornings that contains AHA or BHA along with a soft facial brush or pad using circular outward motions. always remember to hydrate and use suncreen. if your skin needs to calm down i do recommend the calendula/marigold toner that kielhs has.May 2, 2013
Richard asked:I use benzoyl peroxide in my regiment due to my acne and i tend to break out whenever I don't use it at night. Is there a way of applying BP and then putting the over-night biological peel on?Mar 13, 2013
Jamy K:I wouldn't recommend using both products at once as part of your nightly regimen, you may tend to over stimulate your oil/sebum production and then may lead to nice rosy patches where you didn't want to draw attention, your face. use the peel on clean skin, allow to absorb, follow with your moisturizer. think of it a a vacation day/night from your BP. If you're like me and experience oily skin I also recommend changing your pillow case frequently. I personally use cotton or linen and change them every 2 days so i'm not sleeping on the same surface. also my face cloth i change 3 times a week.May 2, 2013
Janina asked:Would I be able to use your product or would it cause any reaction if use it with Retin A or Glycolic Acid? Every so often I switch off to different treatments and I was given a bottle of Biological peel as a gift. Thank you, JAMMar 4, 2013
GERTRUDE W. R:Janina M. your question is a very good one. I can relate because I do the same - switch off to different treatments. I think Kiehls ONB Peel is very effective. It is not as harsh as Retin A but does create a good peel which allows exfoliation.Mar 4, 2013
donamarie M asked:Is it possible to try the Over-night Biological Peel on my sun-damaged arms? Also, I had used the hand cream called"Unusually Rich--But Not Greasy At All--Hand Cream, with SPF 10. Now, I cannot locate this at Kiehl"s at all.Jul 4, 2012
Leesa T:I can't imagine doing any harm except to your wallet since the arms are a much bigger surface to cover than the face. it's a good product but no miracle for sun damaged skin. like many biological peel products, results largely disappear with continued sun exposure because they partially remove the uppermost layer of skin to reveal newer layers than can be more vulnerable to UV rays. Jul 6, 2012
Daniel L:You apply and leave it on overnight. I usually do full coverage on my face. It doesn't dry like a mask which is good. So you still have the ability to eat etc without it feeling like it's dried up. Next morning, you just use a facial cleanser to remove it. After using it for a while, you'll notice some affected spots on your skin get better.Jun 16, 2012
Boya D:I bought this about a month ago, and continue using it for about 2 weeks. For me, it does not really help with my acne scars, and neither fit my skin type (oily combination), I still have pretty much a lot of problems with my skin.Jun 7, 2012
A shopper asked:How do i use over-night biological peel? I have lots of scars from pimples and I just ordered dark spots corrector serum and wanna peel it off too. I think if i apply both.It would be better and faster.Feb 4, 2013
