How to Apply:
-Dispense a nickel-sized amount of the product into the palm of the hand
-Utilizing fingertips, gently apply to clean, damp skin in an upward and outward circular motion, avoiding the eye area
-Continue treatment for approximately 30 seconds, but no more than two minutes, to achieve desired effect
-Monitoring skin sensitivity closely, you may increase pressure slightly to enhance treatment results
-With eyes closed, rinse with cool water and gently pat dry

Because this product may make your skin more sensitive to the sun, always protect your skin following a micro-dermabrasion treatment with a UVA/UVB sunscreen of SPF 15 or greater. Excessive sun exposure after micro-dermabrasion should be avoided. If intense sun exposure is unavoidable, apply sunscreen liberally and frequently. Do not use more frequently than three times per week.

Because I have issues with acne and use a 10% benzoyl peroxide cream everyday, I do have some issues with dry flaky skin at times and this cream really helps me exfoliate. In terms of acne scars, I think it has helped me, especially when used in combination with a glycolic acid product (for example, I'll use a GA mask and after I rinse off, I'll follow with the micro dermabrasion product). I use this 3-4 times a week, and after 3 weeks I've noticed significantly less clogged pores all over my face, over 2/3rds gone. Pore size never changes, but they certainly look more refined when they're CLEAN!!! The scarring on my cheeks IS less visible, especially where it was already light to begin with. I use this in conjunction with the Biological Peel, so I'm not sure which one is working its magic. It's not a miracle eraser by any means, especially for mid-to-deep scarring, so don't expect miracles. To answer your question I would assume it would decrease scar spots as exfoliation is needed to speed up new skin growth.

Well I use a cream based cleanser for sensitive skin and a moisturizer for dry and sensitive skin. My skin was producing extra oil because I kept stripping my natural oils. Also, more acne is caused by clogged pores not from oil but from dead dry skin cells! So exfoliate and moisturize!

Mary V:Any kind of micro-dermabrasion product will be too harsh for the skin directly under your eyes. This is a very effective microdermabrasion product; the particles are especially fine and therefore very good at re-texturizing skin. You might consider purchasing an eye cream especially formulated with some retinol. This will encourage natural exfoliation and will improve the fine lines with continued use. I am 58 and have almost no fine lines under my eyes which I attribute to a long-term use of retinol based products. Also, don't forget to always use sunscreen - even for this area. Mary V:I've used the epidermal re-texturizing micro-dermabrasion product as an adjunct to prescription treatment with tretinoin (Retin A) products. If, as you describe, you have sun damage large pores and deep wrinkles a tretinoin product would help by deeply exfoliating and thereby smoothing your skin. I use the Kiels micro-dermabrasion to help lift the exfoliating dead skin in between the tretinoin treatments. Again, depending on how damaged your skin is, over the counter products like Kiels may not deliver the results you are looking for. Check out the obagi website as well. That is a dermatologist line. Mary F:My aesthetician says I have rosacea, but my physician says I have telangectasia. In any case it's very mild ... just redness and some tiny vessels are visible, but no eruptions or raised areas. I use this product about once a week and haven't had any negative effects. It's a little expensive, but an investment I'm willing to make. If you find it aggravates your facial skin in any way, you may still value it very much for exfoliating neck, shoulders & decolletage. I even use it on my hands sometimes. Also nice for a gentle exfoliation of the lips, especially in winter or in dry climates.Aug 22, 2012
