Glycerin is a by-product of soap manufacturing and is a clear, syrupy liquid, usually derived from vegetable oil and obtained by adding alkalies to fats and fixed oils. It is a solvent humectant and emollient in many skin care products, as it absorbs moisture from the air and thereby helps products retain their moisture. It improves the spreadability of products and has definite skin moisturizing benefits.
L-Ascorbic Acid, also known as Pure Vitamin C, is a highly efficacious antioxidant known for its powerful ability to improve the appearance of skin aging. Pure Vitamin C is essential for collagen synthesis and provides powerful antioxidant protection from skin damaging free-radicals.
Cleanse skin thoroughly prior to application. Apply over entire face twice daily (avoiding the eye area). Can be used alone or layered under your usual moisturizer. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly. As the formula blends into the skin, you may experience a feeling of warmth. This sensation is normal.

For dark spots I highly recommend Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution. I have definitely seen a difference in the dark spots near my eyes; I use it all over my face right after washing and find that I do not need a moisturizer! I also use it on my hands and it works well there, too. Product is not thick, heavy or greasy and has a nice "slip" to it. Am on my third bottle and will keep on buying it.

I use the concentrate in the morning in this manner. I cleanse my skin, use a toner, and then apply the strength-line reducing concentrate. Fifteen to thirty minutes later I apply Kiehl's Creme D'Elegance Repairateur. If I am going out in the sun, I then apply some make-up base that contains a SPF15. I have been using the concentrate for over a year and am pleased with it.

I often use this alone during the day as it gives my normal/combination skin a nice finish. I don't use foundation, so the quality of my skin is important to me. I use the Midnight Recovery every night, and if my skin feels dry, I use it during the day as well. I have used the Midnight Recovery under the Line Reducing Concentrate, and that seems to produce a nice finish during the day as well... Now that the weather is warmer, dry skin isn't so much of an issue for me. If you have not purchased the Midnight Eye Cream, do try it. Totally amazing, and great for under eye shadows and puffiness.

My first thought is you are too young, but it would depend on your skin. In my 30s I started to make a concious effort to take care of my skin by avoiding the sun or using sunscreen and keeping it hydrated by what I eat and drink. But I love this product and use it once and awhile at night. I wake up with smooth fresh looking skin. One morning I forgot I used it and thought wow my skin looks good.

23 is not too young to start using it. It helps to prevent fine lines and wrinkles and well as get rid of already existing. It also helps to even out skin tone and redness for people with fair skin. Just make sure if you use it during the day, you put on sunscreen, or at least a moisturizer with sunscreen in it.

I wouldn't recommend using all of that. Powerful Strength is very similar to a Retin a product so it can easily dry out your skin. Just be careful if you are doing that. And always wear sunscreen during the day.

I would not use this for pore reduction - this targets fine lines. Use the Rare Earth line to focus on pore reduction. I use the mask every week to help minimize and remove black heads. I have not tried the toner or lotion but if you are looking for a highly targeted treatment I would add both of those to either your night or morning regiment.

You can use it on crow's feet and, since the product spreads from the heat on your face, it gravitates to the eye area but not in full strength. I hope this helps. BTW, I love this product. I've found this product produces long lasting results. I'm well into my 40s and I have 30 somethings begging me for my skin care product line up. I've also found this product works best when I apply it first thing after washing my face. I leave it on for 10 minutes and then apply moisturizer. I recently traveled outside of the country for 2 weeks and forgot to bring this product along. After 10 days I couldn't wait any longer so I found a mall that had a Kiehl's store and purchased some - my skin looked so much brighter. I also notice more elasticity and that sought after glow.

My skin is more on the dry side and I feel it compliments dryer skin. I then put the rest of my Kiehl's products over that, Ultra Facial Cream and then Super Fluid UV Defense.

it is a cross between a serum and light creme. it dissolves quickly with no oily residue. the plastic pump is designed to distribute small amounts on the fingertip. You want to use this product sparingly. I'm not sure of the percentage of vit C, but there is a slight burning sensation to the eyes when using it. I've been quite satisfied with this product.

This product is a serum. WHen I purchased it it was in a plastic bottle. It contains Vitamin C, I am not certain of the percentage. I found this to be an excellent product. I tend to have very dry skin and I found this product to really improve the overall appearance and feel of my skin. I am purchasing more soon.

In the morning, I use just a little bit (1 pump) after washing my face and before putting on moisturizer. Occasionally I use it before going to bed. It seems to improve my skin's texture, at least in the wintertime. Not sure I will continue using in the warmer months.

I am 64 and very fair. I rarely tan but I found that kiehls products work wonders on my skin. I use the line-reducing concentrate but I also love to exfoliate because it gets rid of the top layer of dead skin cells and helps the newer, more healthy cells come to,the surface. Try the miracle recovery oil at night after washing and exfoliating gently then the powerful strength line-reducing product. Good luck!

sure - I use it there most of all - from my temples, in to the middle of my cheeks. Also right above my eyebrows and in the lines around my chin. I pat it in, do something else for a few minutes, then apply moisturizer all over.

There is an eye version of this product. I don't know if its milder but when I don't have the eye cream, I used this. It will burn a little but so will the eye cream, its just the nature of the Vitamin C.

Its mainly Vitamin C so I think so. I also used it on my post pregnancy stretch marks on my belly but I only breast feed for a short time so can't tell if there were any adverse effects but generally I am very happy with this product.
