Glycerin is a by-product of soap manufacturing and is a clear, syrupy liquid, usually derived from vegetable oil and obtained by adding alkalies to fats and fixed oils. I have definitely seen a difference in the dark spots near my eyes; I use it all over my face right after washing and find that I do not need a moisturizer! Fifteen to thirty minutes later I apply Kiehl's Creme D'Elegance Repairateur. If I am going out in the sun, I then apply some make-up base that contains a SPF15. Rosalind M: I often use this alone during the day as it gives my normal/combination skin a nice finish. I don't use foundation, so the quality of my skin is important to me. I use the Midnight Recovery every night, and if my skin feels dry, I use it during the day as well. I have used the Midnight Recovery under the Line Reducing Concentrate, and that seems to produce a nice finish during the day as well... Now that the weather is warmer, dry skin isn't so much of an issue for me. If you have not purchased the Midnight Eye Cream, do try it. Totally amazing, and great for under eye shadows and puffiness. Juliette D: 23 is not too young to start using it. It helps to prevent fine lines and wrinkles and well as get rid of already existing. It also helps to even out skin tone and redness for people with fair skin. Just make sure if you use it during the day, you put on sunscreen, or at least a moisturizer with sunscreen in it. Melissa L: I would not use this for pore reduction - this targets fine lines. Use the Rare Earth line to focus on pore reduction. I use the mask every week to help minimize and remove black heads. You can use it on crow's feet and, since the product spreads from the heat on your face, it gravitates to the eye area but not in full strength. I hope this helps. BTW, I love this product. Monica S: it is a cross between a serum and light creme. it dissolves quickly with no oily residue. the plastic pump is designed to distribute small amounts on the fingertip. You want to use this product sparingly. I'm not sure of the percentage of vit C, but there is a slight burning sensation to the eyes when using it. I've been quite satisfied with this product. I use the product you asked about, Powerful-Srength Line Reducing Concentrate. Over this during the day I use Ultra Facial Cream in order to increase hydration. At night I used to use Midnight Recovery, but now supplement it with Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Cream. This last product is my Kiehl's favorite. And in the two months I have been using it, I have noticed an increased resiliency to my skin and neck.

I use the line-reducing concentrate but I also love to exfoliate because it gets rid of the top layer of dead skin cells and helps the newer, more healthy cells come to,the surface.
