Apricot Kernel Oil is extracted from apricot kernels and has a very high Vitamin E content (aiding fast absorption) and is a trygliceride composed of 75% oleic acid and 20% linoleic acid, and unsaturated fatty acids esterified with glycerin - similar to avocado oil and sesame oil. Found to be highly compatible with the skin. Apricot Kernel Oil moisturizes and softens skin while helping retain clarity and suppleness.

I really love the cream, but I've been using the Abyssine Lotion (SPF 15) for awhile. It lasts longer for me. I use it for daytime and Rosa Arctica for nighttime. (The Rosa Arctica takes care of my need for luscious cream.)
If you don't need the SPF, I'd just get the one without. SPF is a great bonus in such a terrific cream, though, if you DO need one.

I love abyssine cream and find that it is a good weight for day or night. The combination I really like is abyssine cream during the day and Kiehls midnight recovery oil at night. I think it is a matter of finding the correct combination of products that work for you. I am in my fifties and have great skin. I would highly recommend Abyssine cream.

Since my skin is very dry skin, i used it in both daytime and nighttime. I guess it would be a nightcream if you have oily or normal skin type. It was perfect for me even in Winter. I used it alone after toner treatment. hope this helps.

I think it is always not too early to prevent aging. I like this moisturizer. I did not use hope in a jar before, so I can not make any comments on that part. It would be good to get some samples from the counter to have a try first to see whether you like it. Good luck!

I recommend this cream to any one over 30. I have been using this cream since 2005 and absolutely love it. I wear contacts and it does not creep. It is light going on and staying, but very powerful. You see the results in your skin rather quickly. I would not be with out this cream for anything. I am currently running out of my "stock" and getting ready to replenish. I usually buy 2-3 at a time. You will not be sorry. I also recommend the eye cream and the serum of the same line. I have tried their marine line, but I have not been as happy. The Abyssine line is phenomenal, by the way I am 60 years old and when I go to have my facials done, they usually tell me my skin is that of a 30 to 40 year old. I have elasticity, smoothness and even tone. I love It!

Yes I use it for my eyes. I actually use it as a nightly cream and then I use the Midnight Concentrate oil for my crows feet and forehead. It's a regiment that seems to be working so far for me and my skin has never looked better. Good luck on your purchase.

I use abyssine cream at night by itself. Sometimes if I have been out in the wind or sun or in a dry place, I use it in the morning and put the ultra facial cream with SPF 15 on top. This seems to be a good combination in moisturizing and also gives a clear look to my skin. I have been using the ultra facial cream for 16 years and abyssine cream for about 5 years. I am 66.
