KOH-koh BUH-tur
Cocoa Butter is a yellowy fat expressed from the roasted seeds of the cocoa plant. It is solid at room temperature but melts at body temperature. It softens and lubricates skin and is used in a variety of skin care formulations.
SEH-sah'-mee OY-il
Sesame Oil, which is a refined moisturizing oil derived from Sesame Seeds, has the same emollient properties as other nut and vegetable oils and is commonly used as a carrier oil for skin care products. Absorbs easily and softens the skin.
Apply a small amount to clean skin with fingertips and gently massage into dry areas. Allow cream to be absorbed. May be used as a night cream or during the day, either alone or under makeup as a daytime moisturizer for very dry skin.

Proof is in the pudding. I just know it works. I would say a cream texture more than oil I live in AZ. Very dry weather. I can feel the moisture in my skin thanks to this product. I wear it daily at night. Love it. I've used it for about 7\8 years & I'm 54 & I'm constantly told how great my skin looks. I would call Keihls in NYC for further info.

I would need to look at the product label for the answer on oil free. But I have skin reactions to products with oil and have never had a problem with this. I have used this moisturizer for four years and would hghly recommend it. I have normal to dry skin. It's helped minimize my wrinkles!

I have very sensitive skin and I cannot use moisturizers that contain perfume either, so I do not believe that this product contains any. I was hesitant to use Keihl's at first because I had been though multiple products and spent hundreds of dollars to find a solution tomy dry and sensitive skin. I asked for a sample in the store, took it home and applied it and realized I finally found the perfect moisturizer cream. I used many of their products (and like I mentioned, I have very sensitive skin). My husband also uses their men's line and loves it! I reccomend this product if you have sensitive skin, it will create soft, smooth skin without the feel of a heavy cream.

I also cannot tolerate fragrance in any products. This creme is fabulous and does not bother me as far as I can tell there is no fragrance. Most kiehls products are fragrance free but the few that contain herbal ingredients that have bothered me they have gladly and readily allowed me to return with a full refund.
