BAY-tuh KA-ruh’-teen
Beta-Carotene is a naturally derived antioxidant predominantly found in many orange/red vegetables such as carrots. It is used in Vitamin A production and gives an orange tint when used in skin care products.
KOH-koh BUH-tur
Cocoa Butter is a yellowy fat expressed from the roasted seeds of the cocoa plant. It is solid at room temperature but melts at body temperature. It softens and lubricates skin and is used in a variety of skin care formulations.
SEH-sah'-mee OY-il
Sesame Oil, which is a refined moisturizing oil derived from Sesame Seeds, has the same emollient properties as other nut and vegetable oils and is commonly used as a carrier oil for skin care products. Absorbs easily and softens the skin.
A signature Kiehl’s ingredient, Squalane is a botanical lipid that is similar in molecular structure to natural skin lipids. It has an exceptional affinity to skin, and because it’s easily absorbed, Squalane helps restore skin’s natural moisture balance to keep it extra soft and supple.

It very much depends on where you live Ashley. I use this all year long, love the stuff, but I do live in Colorado where it is very very dry all year long, it esp. feels good after being out in the sun, very soothing to my skin, if you live in a more humid place, I wouldnt suggest this one for summer, its very thick, but not greasy, but might be a bit much for a humid place to use in the summer, however I do think its a wonderful product for any place in the other 3 seasons. I highly recommend this body lotion.

This is an excellent product. I got a hooked a few years when a friend gave me a large bottle as gift. It absorbs completely into the skin but leaves a subtle glow. I call it my "youth dew". You can put it on and then immediately get dressed without worrying about staining your clothes. I love this stuff. I only have two complaints - 1) the bottle should be re-designed so that the lotion is dispensed from the bottom and so that gravity can help you use every drop and 2) it is so expensive, I don't use it everyday. Frankly, sometimes, I only use it on the areas of the body that are seen!

I agree with the last comment, you should ask your pediatrician. I will say though, that my son had eczema and my pediatrician recommended shea butter, which is a main ingredient in this lotion. It did wonders for him. My bet is that this lotion would be great for all ages.

I don't know but I sure love it for hand creams, I am germaphobic and this cream is the only cream I have came across so far that makes my hands look quite a bit better. ( I wash them a lot). It's good.

It is yellow in color, so if it's turned darker or has an odor to it, it may have gotten heated somehow or be old - I would return the unused portion to where you bought it.

I used the creme de corps on my belly (and whole body) while pregnant. I did not get any stretch marks, perhaps I was just lucky but I had a huge tummy and I will most definitely use it again with the next pregnancy!!
