A valuable oil for skin and hair care, olive oil has been used for centuries as a cosmetic and food by peoples of the Mediterranean region. The oil is obtained by cold pressing of ripe olives and it is the first press, or “extra vierge” oil, that is used for creams, lotions, hair treatments and ointments. Extra virgin contains a high level of healthy monounsaturated fatty acids and antioxidant vitamin E that moisturize, protect and nourish. It is very beneficial for dry, damaged, or split hair.

OK. If you're looking for shine this will not give you the shine unless you use as a combo with the Kiehls Oil Mist. Not trying to sell a product, it's just that I use the morracan oils, and because of its weight it pulls your hair down. Especially, if you are flat and curling and is a great protector. These products are much lighter. The creme conditioner will actually go right into you skin without leaving a shine. While the mist will lay on your hair and go in gradually if you do not wish to rub it in. The smell of the product is in true Kiehls tradition. Smells like the shampoo conditioner so you're not battling smells if you use everything Kiehls. However, it does not get with any of the morracans and cause havoc on your head. I"m not sure how it will work in the humidity. I've got an outside party this weekend and if you're able to check with me again, I can let you know how it held up in this NEW JERSEY heat. This product seems to take it's time working into the shafts of the hair. I don't know if you'll be using it on damp or dry hair prior to styling (I would not by anymeans recommend using this on dry hair without mist if curling) I hope this helps. It's just different than the oils.

It seriously weighs down my fine, dry hair. I used it and it made my hair very limp; couldn't wait to wash it out. However, I highly recommend the Kiehl's Sunflower oil mist. It is very light and makes my dry hair feel like 'hair' again without weighing it down. Try the Sunflower Oil Mist.

I love this product for my thick course and curly hair. This is hydrating, but not heavy. I'm not sure if you fine hair, but if you tried the morracan hair oil I don't think will weigh it down. Just remember a little goes a long way. Good luck :)

I don't wash my hair daily, either. But it still gets dry in the winter with no moisture in the air. And this product does not leave your hair heavy and oily if you use it according to directions. It just gives hair back some its vitality.

I would say no, not dry. I use it on damp hair. It would make it greasy on dry hair. Go with the silk groom for dry hair, it smooths things out without being oily.

This is a wonderful product with little to no scent....as it is applied after shampooing and left in, there appears to be zero scent when applied. I love that it is light while being gently effective. Try it, I think you'll love it too.

I purchased this for my husband who has coarse, thick hair and he says this is THE BEST product he has ever used. His hair is so much smoother now, it's like different hair! He still uses a conditioner after shampooing, then adds this product. You will love it.

This is a very Hydrating hair product, especially for high dry altitudes and white hair. Ther is only one problem if you havr very curly hair..it makes it more curly.
