I am unsure of why this does not come in a smaller bottle..I wondered that also but I bought it for my wife anyway. The bottle is large and will seem to last a decent amount of time, which makes it a good value in my eyes. I hope that helps a little but I'm guessing Kiehl's themselves would really have the appropriate answer for you.

There is no need for this scent to come in a smaller bottle. This is the perfect size for this scent. The bottle looks so cool on my perfume table in my bathroom. The right amount of scent sprays from this size bottle onto my wrists, neck, behind my knees, and my cleavege. I love this Aromatic Blend!!!!

This fragrance is very light and citrus-y scents don't tend to last as long. You can spray this on without reservation and still not overdo it. Perhaps that is why they opted for the bigger bottle! You'd be out before you know it otherwise.
