Rated 5 out of 5 by Zebo Lip Balm #1 -Good bang for the bucks
Picked up a jar of #1, trying different brands looking for a good lip product. I found the jar worked best for me. I found the first application easy, but finding the proper amount pure trial and error. A small glaze on my finger transferred easily to my lips. The initial minute after application your lips feel a tiny bit greasy, but that sensation passes quickly and the duration of the application can last for hours depending on what you're doing. Good Stuff.

The lip balm itself is pretty decent but I don't like that there isn't a lip applicator! It feels gross when I put it on like the opening is scraping some of the balm off my lip. Please change the design it just makes more sense!

First, it's too expensive. I have chronically dry lips that are probably just addicted to balm at this point. I usually try a new one every few winters just to see if it makes a difference. This one does what all the others do, but for twice to three times the price. Plus, I really hate the smell. It doesn't have a very obvious fragrance in the jar, but once I put it on, (since my lips are, you know, under my nose) I'm hit with a very unpleasant scent (kind of spoiled fruit in petroleum, maybe) until I get used to it, or it fades. On that note, it doesn't hydrate my lips very long, with no longer than 2-3 hours before I feel the need to reapply. It also feels a lot more oily than I expected, and seems to just lay on top of my lips. All in all: it's simply not worth the price. Won't buy again. I'd rather get a plain stick of something at the pharmacy.

When I first came to Ohio my lips were destroyed by the dry, windy weather! It was so terrible that I could not even smile or my lips would bleed!
Then I met Lip Balm 1. Although it was terrible to apply :( , It did helped my lips survive the winter! And my lip skin is even smoother than that before I came to Ohio!
:D I can smile happily!

I agree with some of the other reviews. I have been using the Kiehl's lip balm with SPF 15 for years and now it's no longer available. I don't like that this one only has SPF 5 and does not have the easy lip applicator. Who wants to use their dirty finger on their lips. Kiehls needs to bring back the lip blam with SPF 15 and the easy applicator.

It's a really great lip balm; but it offers NO sun protection. Why would you discontinue the product that offers both? Lip balm with SPF15.
Rated 4 out of 5 by NIABY Best Lip balm but not a functioning design on the tube
I'm a lip balm fanatic and have been using this lip balm for 20 years and it's still the best formula that keeps your lips moist for a long time without having to reapply often. And believe me…I've tried about 100 other brands. The bad thing about this lip balm is the tube design. It has no easy application to apply on the lip. I've been asking them to change the tube design and I see there are many of the same comments here so I'm not sure why they will not update the design to have a lip application like the one they use with the SPF. Also, when I buy this at other stores such as Bluemercury and Dillards, it seems to be old. The balm is very yellow, watery and taste bitter. I had to return it to the store a few times now. Will try ordering directly through this sit and see if it's fresher.

By mistake I bought the 0.6 OZ one. I found the design is awful, too hard to put on the lips. Cannot image why they decide to put the lip balm in a jar.
