Bentonite

Bentonite, found in Canada and the Midwest, is a colloidal aluminum silicate clay. It is used as a suspending agent in a variety of skin care formulas including lotions and makeup. Because it absorbs oil, it is often used as a facial mask to reduce shine. Also helps to stabilize formulas. See also: Kaolin.
Kaolin
KAY-oh-lin
Kaolin is a natural, absorbent clay originally obtained from Kaoling Hill in Kiangsi Province, SE China. It is a soft powder that is known to absorb oil and water well. See also: Bentonite.
Lecithin
LES-uh-thin
Lecithin, a natural emollient, is also know as an antioxidant, spreading agent, and emulsifier. Ahydrophilic ingredient that attracts water, it is popularly used in many skin care formulas.
A non-stripping, pore-cleansing clay masque to absorb excess surface oil. Leaves skin soft, clean and smooth.
Gently apply a thin layer to just-washed facial areas to be cleansed (leave out immediate eye areas) and allow to dry (approximately 15-20 minutes). When dry, gently remove masque using a towel well saturated with warm water and gently pat area dry. Leaves skin clean, smooth and healthy-looking. Follow with the Kiehl toner appropriate for your skin type and moisturizer, if needed. Recommended for use once or twice a week or as often as needed.
