Allantoin

Allantoin is a compound that is found in Comfrey Root. The comfrey plant is a hairy perennial Eurasian herb long used in herbal medicine. Known to be a bacteria inhibitor, Allantoin can soothe and reduce inflammation in various product formulations.
Bentonite
BEHN-tuh-nite’
Bentonite, found in Canada and the Midwest, is a colloidal aluminum silicate clay. It is used as a suspending agent in a variety of skin care formulas including lotions and makeup. Because it absorbs oil, it is often used as a facial mask to reduce shine. Also helps to stabilize formulas. See also: Kaolin.
Kaolin
KAY-oh-lin
Kaolin is a natural, absorbent clay originally obtained from Kaoling Hill in Kiangsi Province, SE China. It is a soft powder that is known to absorb oil and water well. See also: Bentonite.
