HEPES, or Hydroxyethylpiperazine Ethane Sulfonic Acid, is a chemical buffer which is widely used in cell culture to maintain physiological pH. This amino-sulfonic derivative helps to improve skin and limits roughness.

Sodium Hyaluronate is the sodium salt of Hyaluronic Acid. It is used as a moisturizing agent, viscosifier and emulsifier. It forms a transparent film on the skin which has a soothing and lubricating action. It is a powerful humectant as it is capable of binding 1,800 times its own weight in water. Cleanse skin thoroughly prior to application. Apply treatment at night, avoiding immediate eye area, and allow to dry on skin. Leave on overnight and remove with warm water in the morning. May be used three times per week, or more as needed.

Question Does this product work like a facial masque?

  • Answer "Not exactly. It doesn't harden, and it's not something you have to peel off. In fact I leave it on and don't wash it off. I love this product. It makes my skin firm, gets rid of uneven color and brown spots, and gives my complexion a glow. I am 63 years old and I know by now there is no miracle in a bottle :-) but this product does make my skin look great. And it doesn't have harmful chemicals in it. I use it pretty much everyday.   • Answer No. It works more like a night cream. I put it on after my cleansing routine each night and since the weather is warm now I don't feel that I need to put on additional night cream. Although, I have normal/combo skin, so for people with dry skin, night cream is probably still needed. I do avoid the eye area when using this and still put on eye cream. by Keri L 05/09/12

Question so I don't have to put any moisturizers, just this?

  • Answer In order to maximize effectiveness of this product and decrease the risk of a sensitivity reaction, I would not suggest using this at the same time as other targeted solutions, like the dark spot corrector and midnight recovery.
