Apricot Kernel Oil is extracted from apricot kernels and has a very high Vitamin E content (aiding fast absorption) and is a trygliceride composed of 75% oleic acid and 20% linoleic acid, and unsaturated fatty acids esterified with glycerin - similar to avocado oil and sesame oil. Found to be highly compatible with the skin. Apricot Kernel Oil moisturizes and softens skin while helping retain clarity and suppleness.
This "vegetal coral" is an unusual, mineral-rich red algae with the unusual ability to produce a gel which forms a self-defensive, calcified shell from minerals found in sea water. Question I'm wondering what the difference is between the Abyssine Lotion and Abyssine Cream... I have a sample of the lotion which is great, but I see the cream on the top 10 favorite Kiehl's products which made me wonder. I'm guessing the cream is thicker, but has anyone tried both and noticed a big difference? Thank you!
- Answer I've used both. The lotion works great for me, the cream is way too thick and heavy for me. I love having the SPF as well. You can try samples of both and decide. I always try samples of the Kiehl's products before I buy them. If they don't show as available, any Kiehl's store will put together a sample of the cream for you. by Karin A 05/03/12

The BEST facial moisturizer I have ever used. And it has SPF. It minimized my fine lines, and also cleared up my skin, somehow. Amazing.
I have found this to be the best moisturizer for my dry skin. Unlike some moisturizers that feel like they stay on the skins surface Abyssine penetrates into the layers of skin and leaves it non-greasy and soft to the touch.
