Apricot Kernel Oil is extracted from apricot kernels and has a very high Vitamin E content (aiding fast absorption) and is a trygliceride composed of 75% oleic acid and 20% linoleic acid, and unsaturated fatty acids esterified with glycerin - similar to avocado oil and sesame oil. Found to be highly compatible with the skin. Apricot Kernel Oil moisturizes and softens skin while helping retain clarity and suppleness.
This "vegetal coral" is an unusual, mineral-rich red algae with the unusual ability to produce a gel which forms a self-defensive, calcified shell from minerals found in sea water. It has been shown to thicken the stratum corneum layer of skin and to help reinforce the moisture barrier function of the skin.

Question do i use the abyssine cream over the power strength vitamin c cream?
- Answer I use the abyssine cream + SPF 23 OVER Kiehl's POWERFUL STRENGTH LINE-REDUCING CONCENTRATE. I use this combination for daytime because of the SPF 23 (don't want to waste that for a night time application). by Judie W 03/27/12
- Answer I am a huge fan of Abyssine Cream, but have never used the vit C cream. I also have found that I cannot use the Abyssine w/any sunscreen as it causes me to break out. I apply my own sunscreen over the Abyssine. by Julie H 03/26/12
